 Where’s home?
Home for me is Melbourne, Florida. It’s where I was adopted.

What’s the most elaborate lie you’ve ever told and gotten away with?
The most elaborate lie I ever told, and briefly got away with, had to do with my first tattoo: I told my parents it was an airbrush tattoo that lasted a year. I was 15 years old, haha.

What’s your favorite word in any language and what does it mean?
My favorite word is ‘family;’ it’s tattooed on my face. To me, this word has always brought me peace because of how fortunate I am to even have one.

Write down the recipe for your favorite meal.
My favorite recipe is this amazing taco soup that my mother makes. It has diced tomatoes, red beans, black beans, shredded potatoes, chicken broth, shredded chicken breast, taco seasoning, and some spices, along with some scoops Tostitos chips. It’s a life changer; my parents make it every time I visit home. Its like a tradition for us.

What fictional character do you most identify with?
The fictional character that I can compare myself to, or that comes to my mind, is the Grinch — not because I’m a mean or grouchy person, but because of my memory of that film. When he was young, he was sweet and kind and really nice but teased a lot, and it sort of hardened his heart. Then, as an adult that one young girl in Whoville completely changed his heart, and he became this loving person. For me, my childhood was a bit rough because I didn’t fit in anywhere and I was bullied heavily… to the point where I wanted and attempted to take my own life because of how heavy of a weight it placed on my spirit.  But my family and Jesus played the role of the young girl (via the Grinch) in my life. They opened my heart, my mind, my eyes, my soul, my everything and raised me to be this person I am today.

Describe yourself in three famous paintings.

What sound or noise do you love?
I have 3 little brothers, and the sound I love the most is their high pitch screams whenever I surprise them and visit home. It’s the greatest thing to me, I also really love the sound of a good bass, especially in jazz music or trap music.

Empty out your pockets or purse. What are the contents?
In my pockets right now are a metro card with a questionable amount of funds on it, a comb, my headphones, and a cough drop

Where would you most like to live?
I would most likely like to live here in New York, where I already am. I don’t know; there’s just something about it.

What is your present state of mind?
My current state of mind is hopeful. This year so far has been intense for me, good and bad. There’s a lot going on around me; there’s a lot going on around the city; there’s a lot going on around the nation; there’s a lot going on around the world, and I feel with great tragedy comes great inspiration. So I’m hopeful for my future. I’m hopeful for the future of everyone and everything around me because even though hate is strong, I will always believe that love is stronger
