Renowned French director, Bruno Aveillan, has worked for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Chanel & Lanvin, hypnotizing viewers with prepossessing intimacy. As with all great artists– his role isn’t to tell a specific or singular narrative, rather to prompt or stir a feeling within his viewers, allowing them construct their own personal appropriation.
Experimental 4-part performance piece, Minotaur-Ex, uses the tale of the Minotaur from classical Greek mythology as a platform to expose a plethora of human emotion; love, lust, betrayal, vulnerability and revenge. A sensory experience that begs the audience to connect on a deeply personal level by reflecting on their own inventory of memories.
In a labyrinth, one does not lose oneself
In a labyrinth, one finds oneself
In a labyrinth, one does not encounter the Minotaur
In a labyrinth, one encounters oneself
