Han Kjøbenhavn FW15 Short Film

In this unsettling short film Danish label Han Kjøbenhavn collaborates with cinematographer turned director Sturla Brandth Grøvlen to produce an eerie murder mystery. Following surreal dream logic the audience is enticed by breadcrumb clues whilst a mounting sense of dread hangs in the air. A muffled recording delivers us clear instruction, ‘We must find the right person my friend…all that matters in this business is the truth’. The richly autumnal but consistently sombre palette, distorted imagery and voices and an underlying sense of distrusting voyeurism give subtle nods to some of the greats in a Hitchcock-meets-Lynch-meets-Anderson fusion of sorts, a fantasy union for habitués of the cinema alike.

Suspicions grow as it quickly becomes clear that the question is not who is innocent rather, who is the guilty of the most odious sin?
